And that’s a wrap on Kitty’s Fortune! It has been an emotional, yet incredible three days on set in Harpenden. Adam has worked tirelessly to re-create Kitty Hart-Moxon’s first night in Auschwitz and to explore the monumental transformation she had to make to survive. We were lucky enough to have Kitty come and visit the set for what was truly a humbling experience. Adam will now be going straight into the edit as he aims to tell a harrowing Holocaust story in a way that has never been seen before.Written by Superplex Pictures on July 17, 2015
Co-written and produced by Superplex’s very own Adam Baroukh, we are very excited to announce the release of the trailer for ‘Just Desserts’.
‘Just Desserts’ features an array of British acting aptitude, most notably Alex Macqueen, (The Thick of it) and David Schaal (The Inbetweeners). This 15-minute short-film directed by Michael Yanny, loosely based on a true story is a dark comedy about an obsessive lottery player out on a monthly meal out with his wife and friends. The night turns dramatically when he is subject to a practical joke that backfires outrageously.
To wet your appetite for the upcoming release of this film, watch the trailer for ‘Just Desserts’ below.Written by Superplex Pictures on June 18, 2015

It’s been a hugely exciting year for Superplex so far and things are about to get even more interesting….
We are immensely proud to announce Adam’s first narrative short film is in the works!
”Kitty’s Fortune’ is a story that has waited 70 years to be told. Based on the true account of Kitty Hart-Moxon’s first fateful night in Auschwitz, worlds collide when young Kitty encounters a palm-reading Gypsy who hones in on her lifeline. The film is a rare glimpse into a touching encounter between two people amidst the brutality of their surroundings.
70 years later, and for the first time ever, she is allowing a part of her story be adapted for the cinema.’
Production begins in the next few weeks and we can’t wait to get cracking. Please have a look at the Kick Starter for more about the film and more info on how you can support it.
It was a fanastic night featuring Adam’s calligraphy film, a performance from Tai Chi master Stephen Pucci and even a visit from some of the Ex Machina cast! Check out the video below:Written by Superplex Pictures on June 15, 2015

After months of script development at the BFI and an extremely nerve-wracking final pitch….. we are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been given funding for our next short film by Film London, The BFI and Southern Exposure.
Production on ‘I Used to be Famous’ begins in the next two months. The plan is to then follow the short with the feature version in the near future.
The Elevator Pitch:
‘I Used to be Famous’ is a fresh, moving and bold comeback story that is bursting to be told. It’s a current and beautiful tale of a culture clash between a washed up singer from an ex-noughties boy band and a musically talented young man with autism. Two opposite characters who transform each other’s worlds through the power of music. It’s an intriguing mix of films such as The Wrestler, Crazyheart, and Once with a healthy dose of Birdman for good measure.
At Superplex we have always aimed big. Big dreams and big screens… So it was really amazing to see our work for the brand new shopping app, ‘Grabble’, up on Piccadilly Circus’ main billboard over Christmas.
After our billboard went up, the campaign was so successful that Grabble was trending at number one on Christmas Eve! Sorry Santa.Written by Gin + Bourbon on December 04, 2014
